Game Overview
Welcome to Crypto Crush, a fun and addictive match-3 game featuring cryptocurrency icons! Your goal is to swap adjacent icons to create matches of three or more identical icons, either horizontally or vertically, to score points. You have 4 minutes and 20 seconds to rack up as many points as possible before the timer runs out.
How to Play:
- Click the Play/Replay button to start the game.
- Desktop: Click and drag an icon to swap it with an adjacent icon (up, down, left, or right).
- Mobile: Tap and swipe an icon to swap it with an adjacent icon.
- Matches of 3 or more icons are cleared, and new icons fall from the top to fill the grid.
- Keep making matches to increase your score before time runs out!
Compete for the high score and a chance to win MetalX gift cards by reaching score thresholds (5000, 10000, 20000 points). Check the Hall of Fame to see top players!
Scoring
Points are awarded based on the number of icons matched in a single move:
- 3 icons: 60 points
- 4 icons: 120 points
- 5 or more icons: 200 points + 50 points per additional icon
Special Scoring:
- Magic Icon (
): Matches with the Magic icon score double points. For example, a match of 3 Magic icons yields 120 points instead of 60. - Combos: Matching multiple sets of icons in one move boosts your score:
- 2 match sets: 1.5x multiplier
- 3 or more match sets: 2x multiplier
- Cascades: When matches cause new matches as icons fall, each cascade adds a +10% bonus to the points for that cascade.
Scoring Examples
Example 1: Basic Match
Matching 3 Bitcoin icons (
) scores 60 points.
Example 2: Magic Match
Matching 3 Magic icons ( ) scores 120 points (60 × 2).
Example 3: Combo
If one move creates two matches (e.g., 3 Bitcoin icons and 3 Dogecoin icons), you score 180 points (60 + 60 = 120, × 1.5 for the combo).
